January 22 2017—

Saturday, 21 January was the “Women’s March on Washington” in Washington D.C. and there were sister marches happening all over the country in support of the event.

It was definitely a very busy week in America, – as I mentioned in my previous article– and New York too.

On Thursday, 19 January one day before President elect Donald Trump’s inauguration there was a “We Stand United” anti-Trump rally In New York.

On Friday, 20 January Donald Trump sworn in as the 45th President of the United State.

And Saturday, 21 January brought millions of people –women, men, old, young, children- together around the world to send messages to Washington, and President Trump. New York was one of the cities joined the “sister” march of “Women’s March on Washington” event.

The scene on 2nd Avenue was the same. Marchers who couldn’t get in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza were waiting on 2nd Ave to march to 42nd Street and on 5th Ave to go to Trump Tower, the President’s residence and business headquarters before the inauguration.

Signs throughout the crowd had different messages including “Respect My Body, My Planet”, “Not My President”, “My Body My Right”, “we Want to See Your Tax Returns”, “Keep Your Hands off My Future”, “Resist”, “Small Hands, Small Mind”, “We’ll be Watching You”, “Love Trump’s Hate”, and more, and more.
