As always the Evzones , the members of the Presidential Guard,  with a minimum height requirement of 1.87 m (6’ 2”) to join, got the most attention.

The mayor of New York City, Eric Adams also marched the Greek Independence Day Parade

There were a lot of child marchers,

Some looked tired enough not to notice, even dropping part of the costume.

And some preferred to be carried by parents.

Yianni, whose mother said that he was 9 months old and this was his first parade, preferred to sleep.

A child, waving a flag, was enjoying the parade.

But I believe she had more fun with her family.

The parade started at 1:30 p.m. from 64th street to 79th street, only 15 blocks. When I left at 4:30 pm it was still going on, short distance but long time……
