I have never been a long-term photography project person. But this project has become one.

My one and only sibling, my brother died of cancer on 24 December 2020, and was buried on his birthday on 26 December 2020. Since our parents had died in 1994 of heart attacks six months apart from each other, he was my only best friend to talk with.

I never talked about my brother, I was so involved with my own pain, emotions, feelings and my self-awareness until 24 December 2022, his second anniversary.

And that day I decided to break my silence, write about my feelings.

And that’s how it became a tradition so far, on each 24 December to listen to my inner voice, to understand my feelings deeply.

And to picture them again.

MY KITE!

One day, I saw three birds like a family, flying together freely, happily in that cloudless, open blue sky. Made me imagine that they were my loved ones.; My father, my mother and my brother!
